Myriam Da Silva is a visionary, entrepreneur, AI ethicist, writer and artist driven by a singular mission: to inspire people to believe in themselves. Through her work, she empowers audiences to embrace their unique gifts as a force for contribution, leading lives filled with meaning, purpose, and fulfillment.

Myriam is an educator at heart and a serial learner, she studied international business, Didactics of Languages, Holistic medicine and educational neuroscience. As the CEO of CheckIT Learning and President of the CheckIT Foundation, Myriam is pioneering a new vision for education grounded in human flourishing. She is the creator of Cleo, the world’s first AI neuro-mentor designed to support teachers and students through the science of learning, and she developed a Science of Learning micro-course that helps educators bring neuroeducation into daily practice.

Myriam works with global organizations on AI ethics and child-centered design, including UNESCO, iRAISE, and international coalitions shaping responsible AI in education. She is also featured on Women in Power, an Inside Success TV series highlighting leaders who are redefining impact and innovation.

She is the author of the forthcoming book The Black Sheep (2026), a powerful call to reimagine education so that every student’s uniqueness becomes their strength, empowering them to live, lead, and contribute with lasting impact.

My Work as a Tech Leader, Educator and Innovator

I am a changemaker at heart. I believe education is one of the most powerful levers we have to create the change our society needs today and to build a better tomorrow.

Technology plays a critical role in that transformation. When used thoughtfully, it allows us to offer individualized support at a scale that was simply not possible before. Not to replace human relationships, but to strengthen them.

At the intersection of education, neuroscience, and technology, I lead as CEO of CheckIT Learning, a human-centered EdTech company built on a different model of education; one that places students in the driver’s seat of their learning. An education designed to serve their interests, passions, and aspirations, and to support their growth long after they leave school.

Alongside an extraordinary team of passionate experts, I brought to life Cleo, an AI mentor grounded in neuroscience. Cleo helps students discover their inner strengths and purpose, build self-belief, and develop the skills they need to reach their full potential. so they can lead lives on their own terms.

My work as a AI Ethicist 

Long before AI, the system was already breaking down. AI made it impossible to keep our heads in the sand.

Used responsibly, it offers a rare opportunity to rethink education around how humans actually learn, focus, remember, and develop. That opportunity comes with responsibility. My work is guided by research from inception to implementation, and by a single guiding question: just because we can, should we? The impact on child development sits at the center of every decision.

I am also the president of checkIT Foundation and i serve on committees across organizations to advocate for the responsible, human-centered use of AI in education, ensuring technology remains in service of learning, not the other way around.

My work as a writer and an artist

As a writer and photographer, I am drawn to the power of art to capture what is — and to open a doorway to what could be. Through words and images, I explore the space between reality and possibility, where perception shifts and new meaning emerges.

Art, I believe, is experience — received through inspiration, shaped through collaboration, and shared across time. It transcends matter by giving form to what cannot always be named: emotion, connection, memory, and hope.

At its best, art elevates us. It reminds us of our shared humanity, invites us to see differently, and brings us together

AWE: Beyond what you can see

Awe: Beyond What You Can See is not merely a photo series. It is a living dialogue, between sight and touch, between perception and interpretation, between the known and the unknowable.

Each image carries a question, printed in Braille, embedded like a secret waiting to be unlocked. The photograph alone is a fragment. Its full meaning is contingent on collaboration. A sighted viewer may describe the composition, the light, the emotion they perceive. But they cannot access the question. A blind participant may read the question, feel its weight, grasp its intent, but not the visual context. Only together can they complete the circuit of meaning.

In that moment, the roles shift. The blind participant becomes the interpreter, the holder of insight. The sighted viewer becomes the seeker. What emerges is not just shared understanding, but shared authorship. The artwork is no longer static, it becomes relational, ephemeral, co-created. It’s no longer matter, it’s a moment. 

So, what is Art?

Is it the photograph, the captured interplay of light and shadow? Or the way a few photographs, assembled together, begin to speak to one another — a quiet conversation of images, each holding a fragment of meaning that only makes sense in relation to the others? Is it the Braille, a philosophical prompt that asks us to look inward as much as outward? Or is it the space between two people—one who sees, one who feels—building meaning together that neither could reach alone?

Awe:Beyond What You Can See lives in that tension. It is a meditation on the idea that Art is not given, it is made, together.
